Desk review: This Garmin Enduro 3 review is based on current official Garmin Australia product information and specifications, not hands-on testing. The exact model is Enduro 3, part number 010-02751-02. Price and availability were checked on 20 August 2026.
Garmin positions the Enduro 3 as an ultra-endurance GPS watch built around solar-assisted battery life, mapping and trail-running tools. Garmin Australia listed the exact 51 mm model at A$1,299, reduced from A$1,549, with the offer ending 9 September 2026. The live product page said it was ready to ship in one to three business days when checked.
Garmin Enduro 3 price in Australia
The official Australian price was A$1,299 on sale, a A$250 reduction from the regular A$1,549 price. This is still a premium purchase, and sale pricing or availability can change after publication. Check the current Garmin Australia listing before buying.
Design, display and durability
Garmin specifies a 51 × 51 × 15.7 mm fibre-reinforced polymer case, titanium bezel, Power Sapphire solar-charging lens and an UltraFit nylon band. The complete watch weighs 63 g, with the case alone listed at 57 g. Its 1.4-inch sunlight-visible transflective memory-in-pixel display has 280 × 280-pixel resolution and remains always on.
The combination of a large 51 mm case and relatively low weight is aimed squarely at long-distance use. The nylon band should also reduce mass compared with many silicone-equipped adventure watches. We have not worn this model, so comfort, button feel, display legibility and long-term durability have not been independently assessed.
Garmin rates Enduro 3 to 10 ATM and includes a built-in LED flashlight with variable intensity, red light and a cadence-matched strobe mode. The official manual lists an operating and storage range from -20°C to 45°C.
GPS, maps and running features
Enduro 3 supports multi-band GPS with Garmin SatIQ technology, which automatically selects satellite modes to balance positioning and battery use. It includes preloaded TopoActive maps, dynamic round-trip routing, NextFork guidance, course navigation, turn-by-turn directions and ClimbPro information for upcoming climbs.
Running features include trail-run VO2 max, grade-adjusted pace, PacePro pacing guidance, training readiness, training status, recovery time, heat and altitude acclimation, a race widget and daily suggested workouts. The ultrarun activity provides a rest timer and can log time at aid stations. Garmin also lists a course planner for cutoff times, notes, checkpoints, rest plans and aid stations.
Recent software support adds running economy, running tolerance and step-speed-loss information, although Garmin states that some of those measurements require the separately sold HRM 600 monitor. We have not compared the watch against reference GPS, elevation or heart-rate equipment, so this desk review makes no independent accuracy claim.
Battery life
Battery endurance is the headline feature. Garmin claims up to 36 days in smartwatch mode, or up to 90 days with solar charging under its stated light-exposure assumptions. GPS-only use is rated up to 120 hours or 320 hours with solar. All-satellite mode is rated up to 80 hours or 144 hours with solar, while all-satellite multi-band mode is rated up to 60 hours or 90 hours with solar.
Other official claims include up to 22 hours with all-satellite systems and music, up to 210 hours in Max Battery GPS mode, and up to 77 days in Expedition GPS mode. Solar figures depend on specified 50,000-lux exposure conditions, so real runtime will vary with sunlight, maps, sensors, music, notifications and settings.
Health, recovery and smart features
Garmin lists wrist heart rate, HRV status, sleep score, sleep coaching, naps, Body Battery, stress, Pulse Ox, jet-lag adviser, Health Snapshot and women’s health tracking. These tools are intended for general wellness and should not replace professional medical advice.
Smart functions include Garmin Pay, music storage, notifications, Garmin Messenger support through a paired compatible phone, incident detection, assistance and LiveTrack. The watch has 32 GB of storage. It does not provide standalone cellular connectivity or the speaker-and-microphone calling experience offered by some general-purpose smartwatches.

Garmin Enduro 3 review: verdict
Garmin Enduro 3 is a specialised endurance watch for ultrarunners, trail athletes and adventurers who value battery life, mapping and low weight more than AMOLED colour or general smartwatch polish. The A$1,299 sale improves its value, but the 51 mm case and premium price make it a deliberate choice rather than a universal running watch.
