Design and display

Polar specifies a 47.3 × 47.3 × 13.5 mm aluminium case, 57 g total weight, Gorilla Glass and WR50 water resistance. Its 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen has a 454 × 454 resolution and an optional always-on mode.

GPS, maps and training

The Vantage V3 combines dual-frequency GPS, offline maps, a barometric altimeter and compass. Polar’s Elixir sensor platform adds optical heart rate, wrist ECG, SpO2 and nightly skin-temperature measurements alongside its training, sleep and recovery tools. We have not independently tested sensor or positioning accuracy.

Battery

Polar claims up to 43 hours in performance training mode, 140 hours in eco training mode and 10 days in smartwatch mode. Those figures depend on settings and use; always-on display and frequent training can reduce operating time.
