Our editorial purpose

Running Watches Australia publishes independent analysis and guidance for runners choosing GPS watches and related technology.

Research and review standards

We distinguish between hands-on testing and editorial analysis. Hands-on claims are used only when a product has been physically evaluated and the relevant method can be described. Otherwise, articles rely on documented specifications, software information, reputable evidence and clearly identified editorial judgement.

We aim to assess GPS capability, battery life, training features, comfort, compatibility, value and suitability for different runners. Manufacturer claims are not treated as independent findings.

Artificial intelligence

AI tools may assist with research organisation, structure, comparison tables and editing. Human editorial review is required before publication. AI output is not accepted as evidence and must not invent tests, quotations, prices or experiences.

Commercial relationships

Advertising, affiliate relationships and supplied products do not buy favourable coverage. Sponsored content is labelled. Editorial conclusions remain under the control of Running Watches Australia.

Updates

Technology and prices change quickly. We update material when significant errors, software changes or product replacements come to our attention.
